What could be causing noise from a Chevy Bolt EV rear trunk?

My girlfriend and I recently took her Chevy Bolt EV for a drive, but we started hearing a mysterious rattling noise coming from the right rear trunk area. We pulled over and checked everything, but we couldn't find anything loose. It was puzzling! We spent some time searching for the source of the sound, but it remained a mystery. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing that rattling noise?

Have you checked down to the bottom of the barrel? Also, check the dealer license plate frame.

The rubber bumpers on the tailgate can sometimes cause squeaking/clicking. Silicone spray lubricant can be applied to the rubber.

Haha! When I had this, it turned out to be a loose tool kit in the trunk compartment. I couldn't stop laughing about me that day.
