Very nice! Do you want to share the source for the table? I would like to share a version of it on electric car community.

Thanks so much!

I wish they had commented on the heating system. That one concerns me a lot

What is your concern?

I have grown to absolutely love "instant on" heat. It is well worth the cost in kWh/range.

After a couple of years living with a Fiat 500e, I consider the "range" to be 65 miles. That means that in the dead of winter, with the heat and the lights and the radio on...at 75 mph on the highway...I never have to worry about range.

Can I get 100 miles if I drive at 45 mph on a 75 degree day? Sure. EPA range is 85, FWIW. That is usually about what I get. 3.7 miles per kWh.

Fiat 500e has 24 kWh on board. With 60 kWh in a Bolt...

I would consider the Bolt to be 160-170 miles of "never think about range" range.

People forget that range over 100 miles is rarely meaningful unless you are on the highway...where you consume A LOT of juice.

DC fast charging + 160 to 170 miles = Bolt The Game Changer

Here's another update to the spec comparison. There were lots of changes including:
- Added Model 3 info known to date
- Added Smart ED, Model S 90D, Model X 90D, Fiat 500e, BMW i3 REx
- Added general categories (200 mi BEV, 100 mi BEV, Ext Range, Lux BEV)
- Reordered based on advertised range within category
- Added more EPA data, battery supplier, motor type, DC fast charging data, and automation
- Delineated optional equipment in blue text

As always, suggestions or corrections welcome.

Wow, thanks so much for keeping this up-to-date! I love checking out the differences... will be interesting when we get the cargo capacity and passenger space specs on the Model 3 and the IONIQ

missing info the iMiEV from Mitsubishi, least expensive EV, 4-door, 4-seater, with Chamedo

Hmm, iMiEV sold one (1) single example last month. It's not worthy of spec comparison.

I guess it depends if the iMiEV is coming out with a redesign, or a new -longer-range model? If they don't do something it looks like sales will just die out slowly.... the Mitsubishi player that would be a better comparison would be the Outlander PHEV

Exactly. The iMiEV has had it's time in the sun but the list is intended to be forward viewing to help us make purchase decisions.

well, I have a 2014 iMiEV and a 2016 Volt, and the iMiEV definitely has its place. The handling is great and very decent acceleration. I live in the Santa Cruz Mountain at 2200-ft and round trip commute is 50-mile. I particularly appreciate the level 3 as it can be topped off very quickly. I've seen a recent listing at ~$20K, thus $10K after incentives, makes it a worthwhile consideration. And if you live in the Central Valley, San Joaquin, there is an additional $3K off.

I would choose the iMiEV over the SmartEV any day, being 4-door and 4-seater. So yeah, I think it's worth adding to the spreadsheet.

I am now debating between the Bolt & M3, but the lean is toward the Bolt as of today.

No disrespect to iMiEV, but it's been abandoned by manufacturer/dealers.

The Smart ED is faster, has optional panoramic roof, optional convertible and similar range than the iMiEV.
I have one, and love it, it's all I need for my short daily commute.
It's heavily marketed by the manufacturer.
Smart is releasing a next generation Smart ED this fall based on the updated and vastly improved new Smart 453 chassis.

Do I think it worthy of being listed in a comparison against the Bolt, nope, but I didn't make the spreadsheet...

The more vehicles added the better - it just helps show how great the Bolt is compared to most other current EV offerings

Zoomit - have you considered contacting Admin?
I know they have the comparison of EVSE it would be great to have your spreadsheet as a sortable/orderable comparison chart based on whatever comparisons you wanted in an EV.

I hadn't seen that EVSE comparison, but this vehicle data would be challenging to put into a similar chart. For those familiar with Microsoft Excel, you can download the file (linked above) and manipulate the data however you'd like.

I updated my spreadsheet of BEV spec and performance data. There are lots of additions to the future models, but few specifics. Amongst the changes, I added red text for my speculation on some of the numbers. I also added more performance data where available. Each different available battery/range option is now a separate column. BONUS: i-MiEV now included!

Enjoy!
