We usually charge at home, but last week we tried a public Level 2. After 20 minutes, ChargePoint was like, "All done!"—which was a total lie. I had to get in the car, reset the charge limit from 60% to 90%, and then it finally worked. Same thing happened at home: my wife texts, "Why isn’t it charging?"—I tell her to go poke the settings, and sure enough, it starts. Also, my phone app’s been way off lately, but of course, my wife's app just won’t work at all. Oh, and now that it’s cold, the range has dropped like crazy, Chevy must’ve snuck in some weird update!

I know this isn’t especially helpful, but I have read other customers complaining of technical issues with ChsrgePoint. The best thing to do is to notify ChargePoint though their feedback mechanism and hopefully they will improve the software in their network.

It is good to know that changing the charge limit setting in the car appears to rectify the compatibility problem.

I have an older 2017 Bolt which only has a setting that GM calls “hilltop reserve” which limits to about 90% chsrge. It is either that or 100%. I don’t have ChargePoint near me - it would be interesting to see how ChargePoint does with an older Bolt.

What year is your Bolt? Has the battery been replaced due to recall?

Thanks, reaching out to ChargePoint might be worth it, and I'll try other stations to see if it's the same.

I always keep Chargepoint's activating card on my keychain. It works almost every time. When it doesn't l get a message on the display as to why it failed with an 800 number
