This review mainly focuses on how the Bolt EV beat the Tesla Model 3 to market first.

I don't like how he says it looks dorky.
I think it looks better than the LEAF or iMiev, maybe even the i3

Maybe what he means it that it doesn't stand out as an EV like some of the others, which is a feature IMHO because then 'normal' people won't mind buying it

It looks just like a standard sub-compact European car.

What's ridiculous is that he compares it to Tesla. The only Tesla available right now is twice the price (and larger, and faster, and longer range blah blah but twice the price - different target audience)

Agreed - in general, this is a fair assessment of the Bolt EV, but they get slightly snide here and there. They don't mention the amazing efficiency of electric drivetrains, or how smooth and quiet it is - and how great instant torque is.
