Next week I am going to drive from Santa Cruz to the Black Oak Casino Resort in Tuolumne, CA.
I previously did this trip two years ago in my Chevy Volt with of course no problems.
Using Plugshare and Google Maps, I see that it is 184 miles but uphill heading into the edge of the Stanislaus National Forest, north of Yosemite National Park.
I will take the Pacheco Pass to Interstate 5 and then make a safety stop in Ceres, CA at the Flyers Gas Station EVgo after 124 miles to "top-off."
The remainder of the trip should then be uneventful at 63 miles.
Black Oak informs me they have EVgo Level 2 chargers available in their parking garage.
After three nights I will then drive down to Los Angeles, using Hiway-99 and its many available DCFC stations (primarily EVgo) for the one expected charging stop that I will need in this 327 mile drive.
Sure would be nice if any of those Interstate-5 DCFC's, promised for 2017, would show up!
