Recently, for the first time, I had a reason to stop an AC charging session at home and I was not sure how to do it. Usually, the charging session is over before I unplug the charging cord. I searched in the owners manual and I found a paragraph that said I could simply unplug the charging cord. But, I also found a sentence that says I can stop the session from inside the car using the "stop charge button". I could not find this button. Apparently it is a virtual button on the touchscreen but I found a screen that was labeled "Charging" and it had no such button and this was before I unplugged the charge cord to stop the charging session. Does anybody know where this this button is located?

What year?

My 2019 does indeed have a Stop Charging button in the Energy section of my Infotainment screen and pushing the button on the charging gun turns off charging as well.

It's a 2023 Bolt EV. Were you AC charging when you saw the Stop Charge button? I found a discussion about this problem on a different forum. They seemed to agree that the owners manual is wrong about the Stop Charge button appearing while AC charging. Those instructions only apply to DCFC sessions. I have found many other mistakes in the manual so I think they are right. I did not know that the button on the charge handle stopped the charge but I can hear a click inside the handle when I press the button so I believe you. It is possible that the Stop Charge button appears while AC charging on earlier year models but why would they change that and not change the instructions in the 2023 owners manual so they match the car?

I mostly charge my '23 at level 1. On rare occasions I also get a "plugged in/not charging" message. In my case it's the GFI plug that I use has tripped. I simply rest the circuit and away she goes.
I'm scheduled to have a new Level 2 FLO 6X charger install after the holidays.
