parking in the sun

greetings,
i have not yet waded thru the entire owner's manual. However, i recall reading somewhere to NOT park the Bolt in sunshine. what's the reason for this? Does ambient temp make a difference? What exactly is the problem with parking in sun?

Sun is bad for any vehicle at least in terms of UV degrading the paint and interior surfaces.

In summer you will place a higher load on the A/C after parking in the sun, and you may also heat the battery a bit but not much as it is low to the ground.

Note on a windy day it is probably better to park outside rather than in a sealed garage or enclosure without ventilation.

A car port or shelter is best, and if it has solar generation on the roof even better !!
