parent leasing and transfer to child / license plates etc

I am seeking a help to a question concerning a presently leased Bolt

1. My parent is leasing a Chevy Bolt and it is under the parents name
2. can the lease be transferred to parents child that is older 40+?
3. rules/regulations in Michigan?
4. plate transfer help...

Car presently has a plate but childs old car has another plate which he/she want to transfer to the leased car

You will need to check with your lease holder and the state DMV. But in general I'm guessing this isn't possible. The original lease was a contract between two parties and whomever the lease is from is in control. A lease is simply a long term car rental. The next person getting the keys would be a new and separate financial transaction.

While I haven't done this in MI, leases get bought, sold and transfered every day by the thousands. So yes, it's doable and no, it isn't rocket science. Just speak with whomever made the lease.
