Infotainment System Freezes

Our Bolt, purchased in Jan 2017, has a software glitch wherein the infotainment screen freezes, most often on starting the car but now when driving it too. It's hard to rectify. Sometimes waiting helps, sometimes powering down the car and then restarting. When it's frozen when starting up, the back camera is inoperative, an annoying safety issue.
Does any one know of a solution?

Two solutions:

1. Hold the Home and FF buttons (just to the right of the volume knob on the dash) until the head unit reboots.

2. Go to the dealer and complain about it. There is a software update for the head unit.
