As an owner of a 2017 Chevy Bolt, I keep getting postcards from the "Recall Information Processing Center" reminding me that my vehicle's battery has been recalled, which I should schedule, and that "Our priority if your complete satisfaction."
Sounds good, except that all the Chevrolet dealers in Washington State tell me that they're lucky to one replacement battery pack per month, and wild 90 or more people on the waiting list, actual replacement is years away, if ever.
What kind of safety recall is it where the manufacturer does not supply enough replacement parts to actually meet demand?
