EVSE Tax Credit for 2017

The tax Credit for EVSE's that had expired at the end of 2016 has been retroactively restored for 2017.
If you purchased an EVSE in 2017, you qualify for the credit .

This is a credit that carries forward, so if you are not eligible for the entire amount on your 2017 return, you can use it in later years (unlike the EV Tax Credit)

Good info. Do you know if the credit will pay for the installation of the AeroEnvironment charger, or just for the unit itself?

You can read the instructions for IRS form 8911. The credit is for "property," which probably doesn't mean installation costs.
