Colorado Tax Credit question

Purchased my Bolt in Colorado earlier this month. Did not get the $5000 CO Tax credit at the time of purchase.

Will I only be able to claim this as a tax credit next year (Apr 2018), when I file 2017 CO taxes?

Documentation required to claim the credit
The income tax return on which the credit is claimed must include the following attachments:
• A completed Form DR 0617;
• A copy of the invoice, purchase agreement, or lease agreement for the qualifying motor vehicle;
