Chevy my link remote start

Hi all, just got my Bolt 2 days ago. Loving it so far as a former Leaf driver. My question is, I have the myChevrolet app but it only works when I am really close to the car. The key fob actually has longer range. Is there a way to turn on the heater when I am not next to the car and out of FOB range?

Something is not right here. I've remote started my Bolt when I was inside a building, several hundred yards from where the car was parked. It works via internet, so proximity should not be an issue.

Is you Bolt connected to WiFi, and if so, is it close enough to get a good signal?

You need to link your My Chevy account to your OnStar account. You can do this from within the app or on the My Chevy site,
