Has anybody actually done this successfully yet? I was planning a trip to western New York state to view the solar eclipse April 8, 2024. the A Better Route Planner (ABRP) app planned me into a Tesla charging station. It knows I have a 2017 Bolt and I told it only to show me stations with CCS charging bays. I've found a lot of conflicting information on the Internet about this. I want to know if I can trust ABRP or not.

The Bolt can only charge at Tesla Magic Dock stations currently. You can find them here: https://www.plugshare.com/map/tesla-ccs-locations You will need to have the Tesla app, with a payment method set up, to use the Supercharger.
are more Magic Dock Stations coming on line ? any info on schedule ? I charged at one about a year ago and had thought the expansion would cease as most manufacturers are adopting the NACS plug. Many, such as Ford, Rivian, Volvo..., are sending owners CCS-NACS adaptors this year. Unfortunately not GM...yet
This is an important issue. I look forward to seeing an cogent summary of what can be done right now. I have a CCS to Tesla adapter, which I have used at hotels with Tesla 240 volt facilities, but I have never tried to use the Tesla supercharger network.
Following this thread for details. Hopefully we won't be waiting in line for days to charge up. ;-)

You definitely cannot trust ABRP for station information.
I have been routed to stations that were planned, but no construction had even started.
A Mercedes dealer that charged $40 for non-Mercedes.
Walmart locations where EVgo stations had been removed, and ABRP would not delist them because their vendor said they were still there.
Tesla stations with Magic Docks, listed as CCS on Plugshare, are available for Bolts to charge.
Plugshare, toggle all networks off except Tesla Supercharger, select CCS as your plug.
There were only nine nationwide, initially, but now I see 53 nationwide
Ames, Iowa is on the list, "This Supercharger is open to Tesla vehicles and non Tesla vehicles with CCS compatibility".

I have ordered a Lectron Tesla supercharger to CCS adapter. Will this work on any supercharger with the Tesla app and proper payment methods?

Only Fords will work today, because they are the only manufacturer that has announced that they will work.
In my Tesla app, with a car of "Chevy Bolt + NACS DC Adapter", only the stations equipped with Magic Dock show up. The Plugshare listing says "Tesla (Fast), CCS/SAE"
Changing the Tesla App filter to a Ford Mach-E with adapter shows several Tesla stations near me.
One that doesn't show up in the Tesla App has a banner in Plug share that says "Tesla Drivers Only".
In addition to that, older model Tesla Superchargers will never work.
Plugshare suggests setting the filter to "greater than 200 kW" to eliminate the Superchargers that won't work with the adapter. That charge rate filter would also block most EVgo stations, most Chargepoint locations, and a lot of EA stations.
From the Lectron Vortex page:
Q: When can they use this plug with the Supercharger since the functionality for the Tesla Supercharger is not active yet?
A: The functionality for Superchargers and non-Tesla electric vehicles using the Tesla / North American Charging Standard is expected to become active in early 2024. To coincide with this functionality, the Lectron Vortex Plug is scheduled to commence shipping in January 2024.

It works! Got chevy email this AM. Used the Lectron adapter. Showed 55kw on a tesla that is supposed to be 250 KW. Had big issue getting adapter off the Tesla plug. You have to leave plugged in car, pull back on tesla. Then do release on lectron. Impossible otherwise! I thought I was going to have to leave adapter on the tesla connector until I found a you tube telling me to do the above. It's not plug and play, yet, activated via stall number on the Chevy app. Email from chevy said I need a software update, must be for that.

Yes, but you need the new and approved adapter, which you can order on the MyChevy App.

The furnace update is only for 2019-2020.
If yours works, it works.
The adapter issue is purely a physical problem, and mentioned in Tom's video.

The Public Charging option started showing for me today on the drop-down menu accessed by tapping on my user initials in the upper right corner of the MyChevrolet iPhone app. Tapped on Public Charging and swiped up past several level-2 chargers near me until I saw the networks listed. Tapped Activate on the Tesla box, dismissed the acknowledgment and was returned to the prior screen which now listed the option to purchase the adapter.
I tried plugging in several different dealer names on the order screen, but they were all $225 plus tax. Shipping is free if you use coupon code NACSSHIP, or you can opt to pick it up at your selected dealer. My order status is BACKORDERED and no estimate for an actual delivery date was provided.
At least it is good to know my access via the app to the Tesla network is activated and I should be good to go when the gm adapter arrives. I hope this puts some pressure on Electrify America and the other networks to lower prices because Tesla’s per KWH rate is a lot lower regardless of whether you pay by the KWH or whether have a Tesla subscription

Same here, the Chev App tells me that I be eligible to buy one of these toys, but I'm a bit aggravated over having to spit out yet another $$chunk of cash. I have to think and rethink about getting this adapter. There seems to be plenty of DC fast charging options along my longest trip routes here in the hills of NC.
My 2019 works with tesla app. Dealer here want 189 for software upgrade! What would i get that I dont have? Any 2019 owners have experience. If it becomes true plug and charge, then id be interested.

Right now I am working with GM to get "Public Charging" option on my MyChevrolet App and I even have a case# assigned. We have tried a LOT of things but so far, no success. Anyone else have that problem? It means I can not buy the connector until I get this solved!
My notice from Chevy said the SW upgrade was free.
And there is warranty language in the service bulletin. Regardless, my local dealer just told me that they won't do the update unless codes are thrown.

following these instructions worked for me:
"If you do not have an applicable OnStar subscription, or your complimentary trial has expired, or "Public Charging" is not an option visible in your myChevrolet app, you can still buy the official adapter using the link below on a mobile browser. Desktop browsers do not work at this time."
