2017 IRS Form 8936

Bought a Bolt in 2017. Tried to do my taxes on Turbotax. It says my taxes can not be filed because the IRS has not gotten final approval for IRS Form 8936 (EV Tax Credit) for 2017. Has anyone else had this issue or is it Turbotax related?

You will just have to be patient. The form doesn't exist yet for 2017 even if you go the IRS web site.

My guess is that the IRS has been waiting for the sales reports from the various manufactures.

Yes - Turbo Tax told me the same thing, another week or so.

I did my Turbo Tax last night and it was there and it calculated into the return. Love the EV credit!!! You need the VIN, Battery Capacity "60", Gross Weight "3,580" and Cost.

I did mine a few weeks ago and got the credit for my 2017 Bolt.
