    What? No Garage Door Opener?

Or you can get a tiny opener intended for a keychain, which is easy to conceal in the car. I bought this one, and the battery is still working almost two years later. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018IQ9I2I/

    Suspension Improvements

I'd love to stiffen up the rear with a swaybar, and fit a set of Koni FSD shocks on the car. Looking at parts diagrams online, the rear shocks appear to be pretty ordinary tubes with no special brackets.

Costs of installing Level 2 charger in St. Paul, MN

WRONG! That's NOT going to work, because it does not have a J-1772 plug necessary to plug it in to a Bolt. It is an excellent EVSE at a great price, but to use it for a Bolt, you would also need one of these...

    Is Chevy investigating seat complaints?

Absurd hyperbole. If you dislike the seats, don't buy the car. Personally, I find them acceptable. Chevy has shown a profound disinterest in the topic, so they apparently view the seats as a non-issue, or they would have changed them. Since they didn't, it's a good bet that they won't, so give...

    2018 Bolt Release Date

They changed the sun visors to extendable versions. I'm hoping the attachment is the same, so I can upgrade mine.

Damage battery if parked in the cold for 8 days?

If you had an ICE car in -20F for a week, you would want a block heater to improve the chances of starting it. Same idea on the Bolt - keep it plugged in to a slow EVSE if possible, or at least start with a full charge. The car will warm the battery to protect it, but it will drain some kWH...

    Bumpy Ride - Stiff Suspension

I've never heard of, or experienced, this "problem", and I've had them on a Mini S and a Volvo C30, and I assure you I beat on them hard in our local mountain twisties. They would be a nice upgrade for a Bolt.

Bolt winter performance, an ICE comparison

Let me summarize: heat-pumps don't work worth a darn in weather colder than freezing, which afflicts most of the US. That is why every heat-pump home furnace in the world also has a secondary heat source: a gas or hot-wire electric heater component, to take over from the heat-pump when it's cold...

    Bumpy Ride - Stiff Suspension

I'm hoping that Koni makes their FSD shocks for the Bolt. This would make it softer on bumps, and firmer in roll and pitch. Short of that, the parts diagram makes the rear shock look like a straight tube with pretty standard ends. Has anyone taken a look at fitting aftermarket shocks to the car?

JDapter (trademark) Tesla Charging for all

BTW, at its new price of $300, the Tesla Mobile L2 EVSE is a bargain, although a Bolt owner would need the Jdapter to use it. The Jdapter is often available for $250 - check eBay.

New tech battery for our 2017 bolts in the future?

One can buy a replacement battery from GM right now. IIRC, the price is around $12,000. After a few years of depreciation, and even if the price of batteries were to drop by half (not going to happen), a replacement battery would cost more than the car is worth.

Bolt OEM Tires v. Summer Tire Performance

REALLY BAD idea! If you have to stop quickly with the wheel even a few degrees off-center or accelerate while cornering, the OEM rear tires will break loose first and send you into a spin. You have transformed the car into a road hazard.

New tech battery for our 2017 bolts in the future?

Do car manufacturers offer a new engine swap because the newer engines are better? Of course not - there's no money in doing so, and they would much rather sell new cars. Oh yeah, and there's all those other parts that wear out after a few years...

    Energy Score -> Climate Settings

For some reason, if you use the heater for even minutes, the "score" promptly drops to -5 and stays there. It makes no sense at all.

    Bad battery cell replacement?

Possibly at the factory. Not locally. Or perhaps you want one of these (starts after the commercial - be sure to watch till the end): https://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-live/video/new-mercedes/3021121

    aesthetic modifications

That would not be functional on a car limited to 92mph.

How To: Install upgraded telescopic sun visors

The 2018 Bolt is said to have telescoping sun visors, which will very likely be a bolt-on fit.

How doI know if I can use this outlet?

6 ga. wire is very costly for more than a few feet, and it is a b**ch to install in an existing home, because it is extremely stiff. You would spend a lot of money pointlessly to use it. 10 ga. will support a 40a circuit for 32a charging, 8ga. is code for 50a and 40a charging. Don't waste your...

How doI know if I can use this outlet?

Search for EVSE on Amazon - you will find dozens of manufacturers, and prices as low as $250. There is really very little reason to spend more on features such as WiFi, and the innards of the devices are neither complex nor costly, so not much difference in reliability among them. For me...
