Chevy just released lease program details!

Be careful with the final payment number. How much down. I don't recall who said it here on this thread but I agree 100%...NEVER EVER put anything down on a lease if you can avoid it. It's throwing money away. I'd imagine for $277 (+tax??) is with hefty drive off.

    Cadillac Version - Bolt BLR

I think Cadillac needs to be put down already. It's a geriatric brand.

    Rubbish.

Ford changes its mind and won't compete with the Chevy Bolt

So you're comparing a start up company that essentially used a roadster to test their battery tech in to an auto company that's been around for 70-80+ years and is just barely now starting to make a decent EV? Tesla did in 15 years what GM couldn't and wouldn't do in 8 decades. Not to mention...

The Chevy Bolt Requires Little Maintenance

Uhhhh please don't call me a troll. If you don't like what you read that's really too bad. But don't call people names.

Yes I was implying the US....which is standing still compared to the rest of the world.

Ford changes its mind and won't compete with the Chevy Bolt

Besides the battery pack and cost reductions of that unit, the Bolt isn't a revolutionary vehicle. It doesn't use any innovative chassis design, advanced materials, composites, etc. So bringing it into production isn't as a big deal as everyone seems to be making it to be. Isn't it on the...

Chevy just released lease program details!

The only thing that will cause a plateau is the new administration's policies...maybe in a cave in. Other than that, if things continue how they are, in three years we should be driving affordable 275-300 mile EVs or 200 mile EVs with blistering performance.

Another positive review, this time from Kelley Blue Book

Ok so let's just all be quiet and not talk to each other. How about that? lol Life is one big maybe...it is how it is. Plus, speculations are usually based on knowledgeable estimation. For example, we all know what disaster Trump will be based on who he's picking for his cabinet. Unless...

The Chevy Bolt Requires Little Maintenance

LOL...dude you really need to relax. Most people don't lift a finger to do regular maintenance so if they don't need to go to a dealer to get their oil changed or plugs changed, to them that's zero maintenance. You simply cannot count wear and tear items as regular maintenance which is implied...

Bolt EV Lease Program Announced -- $309/Month, Net $0 Down After CVRP

Let's hope that idiot doesn't destroy the progress made so far in environmental issues. What a disaster he is. What a disaster of clowns he's picking for his cabinet. The ExxonMobil guy....I can't even put into words how bad that is and what a low level human being I think of him. Let's...

Ford changes its mind and won't compete with the Chevy Bolt

If anything Ford has platforms (like the Fiesta and Focus) that could IMO easily be redesigned for EV use. I agree with DucRider...it's utterly stupid for Ford not to put the effort into it.

Another positive review, this time from Kelley Blue Book

Of course they may end up differently. That's why it's a prototype or pre-production product. But it's still real and not on a napkin. This contradicts pencils down - apparently they are still making changes..probably mostly to the interior...

    Bolt EV gripes

I think EVs will end up either with a CVT transmission or a dual clutch. EVs really only need two gears to maintain their efficiencies throughout a vast speed range. Not to mention the performance. The only reason why EV's fail to outaccelerate ICEs at top end or higher speeds is their...

Another positive review, this time from Kelley Blue Book

I know they were prototypes but it still exists. Tell Rimac their cars don't exist. Lol...come on.. Up until recently the Bolt didn't "exist" either then. Tesla never claimed pencils down...as a matter of fact Musk stated that there would be changes still to be made. I'm in the...

    Cadillac Version - Bolt BLR

I personally think GM should drop Cadillac and bring the Opel brand over as their flagship/luxury line.

Bolt EV Lease Program Announced -- $309/Month, Net $0 Down After CVRP

What doesn't add up about the reduction in cap cost and lease payments is that the only way they could offer these cars with such low lease payments (in general) is to apply the entire $7500 tax credit to the vehicles negotiated price (or MSRP take your pick) to get the price down low enough for...

Another positive review, this time from Kelley Blue Book

The Model III is based off a car that already exists. It's not vaporware. If you want to define it that way, the Rimac Concept One was also "vaporware" for years except that it was real, being tested, being driven, and multiple units were made and were smoking every car they were put up...

    Cadillac Version - Bolt BLR

They could have possibly put the electric unit of the Spark EV into a slightly larger package like an Opel Corsa or Astra and made in a OPC electric version. Now that ranges are getting larger, it may be a reality soon. Cars like that are necessary IMO as EVs to begin displacing the ICE dinosaurs.
