    Infotainment System Software Version

There's a possibility of a hardware revision difference between the head units. The jump from 14 to 25 seems pretty big. It's entirely possible that the two branches will never merge. I have my car scheduled to go in Monday to get A172114410 and N172127150, I'm currently on the 14.4.2 version...

What do you know, it Fits........

That's awesome. I thought I was bad-ass with a roof box. Where do you row?

    Rear Camera Spray?

I'm curious to see how the front camera holds up over time. The only worse place for it would be in a wheel well. 17,000 miles in it seems to be doing quite well. Maybe it's a fused quartz lens :P although I doubt it.

    The 14.4.2 software update!!!

Hello, My upgrade didn't seem to alter any settings, and I definitely had plenty of things that I changed.

JDapter (trademark) Tesla Charging for all

277 is one leg of a 480V 3-phase system, more common in heavy industrial settings.

JDapter (trademark) Tesla Charging for all

Hello - I'm going to add more confusion to this post. Does the Tesla UMC and the Tesla Destination charger use the same protocol as J1772? Or at least something compatible? I'm betting it does. I get the feeling that the JDAPTER just changes the shape of the Tesla plug and is otherwise a...

    Rats! (actually probably mice)

You'll never repel them. Nothing from amazon works, forget about that route. No amount of mint oil, ultrasonic whistles, etc will due. The cat thing is a good idea though. On that note, take a rag soaked in cat piss and stick it under the hood. Not even kidding here. It's gross, but that will...

    Station features?

Here's what I want at a charging area - A park, with at least a few benches, trees, a little playground, even a crappy swing set, a place for the dog to pee, coffee, a sandwich, a restroom, that sort of thing. A way to comfortably kill 45 minutes NOT on your phone, and to give you and your...

    Solar Home Battery Storage Systems

The Powerwall is a neat product, but you still need power input, be it solar or grid, etc. They're infinitely better than lead acid batteries, that's for sure. Higher initial cost, but the capacity is way better, the useful life is way longer, and they don't need the maintenance. There's a ton...

    Android Connects and Disconnects

I'm quick to point fingers at bad USB cables. Most are just used for charging nowadays, and I'm convinced that factories consider any cable that has continuity end to end to be "good". Which is BS, but most people will never notice, so the practice continues. Other fun tricks are to have...

First time with the Bolt in heavy snow

I took my Bolt up the mountain yesterday - Not REAL snow - that was a few days before, but I'm from Maine and did a LOT of snow driving in prior years. I pulled over in a few badly plowed parking areas on the snow and ice to see how it was and I can say that the traction control worked GREAT...

    The 14.4.2 software update!!!

Wow. I wonder if they billed GM for that work? You might want to press your onstar button and talk to one of GM's EV specialists about that crap. Not cool to say you did work and then not do it. Imagine if it was something safety critical. "Yes, we totally replaced your deadly Takata...

    Steering Wheel Option

So I was just thinking about this today - If your car doesn't have a steering wheel, how are you going to back in to a campsite or do anything that isn't explicitly an on-road situation? Or parking at the (******) Trader Joes? Or the parking garage where half the spots say "Bank parking only"...

has anyone found success with TOU (time-of-use) rates at home?

SO LADWP is not so great in getting a TOU meter? I was considdering switching over. It seems to me, that at least in the winter, that I'm going to save a *little* bit of money. I've been running an experiment, but it's breaking down such that I'm averaging $4.90 a day on the tiered system, vs...

    Update Bolt Firmware. Not recommended.

Yeah, did mine too - So far no Spectre or Meltdown bugs  and my Waze is now full screen in Android Auto! Keypass is still trash... but that might be my phone.

    The 14.4.2 software update!!!

So like a jerk I installed the 14.4.2 software update all by myself. I figure if a meathead at the dealership could do it, I probably could too. Turns out it's fantastically easy and at the very least makes Android Auto full screen and allows camera use from "P" so that's good...

Keypass just stopped working and now refuses to pair?

Got a new phone, a Google Pixel XL, but it's entirely possible that the MyChevrolet app got updated sometime as well, but a this time , keypass completely fails to pair with my phone. I've done it a mess of times with other phones, but those were with old versions of the app. All settings in...

Under settings what does" device remote access" reference

Stupid Keypass as far as I know. Keypass is a way to get the features of the Onstar connectivity (remote start, door lock, charge status, etc) over a local Bluetooth connection to your smartphone to the Chevy app rather than the cell phone connection. Keypass likes to drop connections or just...

Can I use a splitter to charge 2 Bolts?

Well, I'll be the first to admit that I didn't believe any of you. I figured for sure that this would have been something that GM would have insisted on crippling from the the start in the name of "safety" or some other ********. Well I'm here to say that I've been born again. I hooked up a...

Can I use a splitter to charge 2 Bolts?

So wait a minute....... Stop the presses :D You mean to tell me that the crappy "portable" plug that lives in the trunk of every bolt on the lot of every dealership is actually a TurboCord in disguise? That we can just pork 220V to it and it's just gonna....work? Electrically, yeah I totally...
