Hello Bolt Specialist

I have Premier model with Infotainment Package option and have tried charging my Huawei cell phone in the wireless charging port, as per Owners Operating Manual; it is not working and I can't find the list of compatible phones to use with this feature. Any suggestions for more detailed info on this.

Thanks,

You'll need to check the phone for this option. You're working on the wrong side of the problem.

In some cell phones, the wireless charging capability requires an optional accessory installed in the phone.

Nope, working on both sides of the problem but some phones are not compatible and that is what I suspect is the problem; I have learned today that 'wireless charge cases' are available for some phones that don't work as they came from the factory. I haven't been able to prove that my phone is or not compatible, other than it doesn't charge........maybe look into the wireless charge case.

It sounds to me that what you mean by "some phones are not compatible" actually means "some phones do not support wireless charging". Not all phones have the hardware in them that allows them to be charged wirelessly - that's why there are 'wireless charge cases" for them.

If your phone doesn't have the wireless charging hardware, it's not a case of "not being compatible", it's a case of "not being capable". And that has nothing to do with the Bolt. And IMHO it's not really GM's job to list all of the wireless-capable phones - that's a job for the phone manufacturer. Just go to their web site and check the specs for your phone.

Read the owners manual on this subject.

My problem is that my phone do not fit in the wireless charging holder! Phones over 5.5" and in a case do not fit. I can fit the phone if I remove the rubber insert, but I'm afraid small object of fluids can drop in the center console plus the phone is moving around. There should be a slimier rubber insert for bigger phones.

Timetoy,
I took out the rubber insert and sliced a small space on each end to hold my iPhone 7plus with case
It fits just enough to hold the phone from rattling in the pocket while driving. I found an added benefit there too! With the pocket rubber slotted on the sides and on each side on the bottom, there is some sort of ventillation there while driving. My phone running google maps (for its audio) Apple maps for the nav screen display, and my music all going while I'm driving, never gets hot! In WA its like the phone was in the referigerator LOL
