    Turn Signal Noises

The Bolt does have a warning when you have left the turn signal on for too long. It's generally for normal driving where you may have forgotten that it was on after a lane change, for example.

    Drive range questions

Pigwich is right and I agree with his analysis. I'm looking at the design documents right now to confirm - 8 pole, 3 phase AC, permanent magnet motor. The inverter has 3 phase AC output, 3 cables to the motor.

    Drive range questions

Sorry I'm a bit confused -- How do you figure that it's 6-phase when it's 3-phase AC power that runs it?

    "Free" heat in cabin

That tank is very small, and cools down very quickly (within about 15 seconds). You're not really recovering much heat there, as much as you are just tolerating the cabin cooling down before you get to your destination. Even on a really cold day, it should take about 2500W to maintain the cabin...

    "Free" heat in cabin

I suspect that the reason that they don't do this is the added complexity is probably not worth the small amount of heat that you would get. Don't forget, we're talking about electrical components here that are very efficient. Your cabin heater runs at up to 7500W. The motor is about 93-97%...

Infotainment screen black & does not reboot, but sound works

Press and hold Home+FF (the two buttons to the right of the volume knob) for ~7 seconds and the infotainment system will reboot. If that fails, disconnect the 12V battery and leave for 10 minutes or so. That'll force a complete restart of all the computers, which should fix it.

Request Battery Heating/conditioning To accelerate fast charge in cold climate

I don't agree with the temperature gauge - 15C is all that is needed to get full. Tesla does this, BTW - it will heat up the battery on route to the charger. It will absolutely save you time and money by doing this. The extra charging speed will greatly outweigh the relatively small amount of...

    Energy detail, energy added

Get OBD2 and check it out for yourself :D You can check out my page for full details - bit.ly/ChevyBoltPIDs You might have a battery problem.

    DCQC charging rates

Bolt is limited to 150A below 370V, so 55.5kW. 100A after that to 380V, then 60A to 390V and 40A to 395V, then 25A and natural taper.

Driving in "L" when it is slippery

I have mixed feelings with this. I have repeatedly been able to have the car activate ABS (or something similar, traction control at the very least) when driving in slippery snow and letting full L regen kick in. However, others (on the facebook group) have video proven that L on ice will just...

Help me understand how regen works

That's mostly correct, but keep in mind that it's not exactly that the battery can't accept any more regen. The battery is 360V nominal and would have a upper recharge limit of 403.2V, if not for the car's systems having an upper limit of 400V. You recharge a battery by applying a voltage...

Help me understand how regen works

Although I agree with the technical aspects, that doesn't actually explain the different levels of regen since the motor is not connected directly to the battery, and also doesn't explain how it would vary that amount. That description is much more accurate for how the car controls the speed of...
