    Hello from ChargePoint!

    Hello from ChargePoint!

Gas stations charge a higher fee for credit over cash because they are the only business that can legally add the credit card charge cost back on the customer. If ChargePoint works for you then keep on with it. I just had a nightmare of everybody taking the same business model. Wake up on...

    Hello from ChargePoint!

Thank you ChargePoint for answering my question. If I understood it correctly it was: Sign up for the app, give us access to bill your credit card as much as we want, good luck with the privacy information, non-negotiable. Pigwich says to accept it as it is. If it works for you Pigwich then...

    Question: Ever been ICE'd?

Has anybody else noticed ChargePoint asks a lot of questions but never answers any?

POLL: Did you lease or buy?

I purchased a Chevrolet Bolt because it has 3 times the range of my previously leased PEV, a 2015 BMW i3, and that is all I really need. Didn't like being tied to a lease.

    Hello from ChargePoint!

Dear ChargePoint, I was recently given one of your cards. I always charge at home and have been using an ICE car for long trips. I would like to start using the Bolt for longer trips but due to privacy concerns I do not like signing up for Apps. Someone else having access to my email...

    Disabiling OnStar

Would disabling the OnStar affect the warranty in any way? If GM loses contact with the vehicle how do they respond or do they care?

    Don't Look at the Screen

That's the irony of it. You have to look at the screen to read the message because you are wondering what could be so important to block out all other info which takes your eyes off the road. Doesn't that make this message screen more dangerous than if there was no alert at all?

    Don't Look at the Screen

Is anyone else getting this screen. It is the 4th time it has come up up and you have to acknowledge it or it won't go away. I am assuming there are lawyers and a lawsuit somehow involved but this is getting annoying.

My Bolt review, after 3 months ownership.

Hey GM, if you really cared about safety, which the owners manual explains as the reason for you doing a lot of things, you wouldn't charge extra for Automatic Crash Response, it would be standard. I have already gotten this screen that is distracting me and I have had to take my eyes off the...

    Help!

"Have you noticed an increase in your electric bill?" Yes I have seen a rise in my electric bill because I am using 250Kwh more electricity a month to charge my car. It is less than the amount I used to spend on 40 gallons at the gasoline station by about half and now I don't have to go there...

    Solar Home Battery Storage Systems

Been looking at the Solar Home Battery Storage systems on the market to get off the grid. Got a sales pitch about the Tesla Powerwall 2. Has anyone actually installed/going to install one of these in their home? Do you need 60Kwh of battery storage to charge a Bolt or is the Bolt helping power...

    2017 IRS Form 8936

Bought a Bolt in 2017. Tried to do my taxes on Turbotax. It says my taxes can not be filed because the IRS has not gotten final approval for IRS Form 8936 (EV Tax Credit) for 2017. Has anyone else had this issue or is it Turbotax related?

    Federal EV Tax Credit

It would affect everyone who makes less than $52,548 in 2018. So if I am single and made $45,451 in 2017 I would have been eligible for the full credit. I get a 3% raise in 2018 to $46,815. That is now $5,733 below the new full credit amount. At 23% tax rate that would be $1,318.59, or a...

    Federal EV Tax Credit

I purchased my Bolt in the 2017 tax year. I was not sure due to the unknowns at the time of the new tax laws (early versions eliminated the EV Tax Credit) that would be in place for 2018 if I was doing the right thing or not. I bought because they had the model with the options I wanted...

I'm shopping for an EV. What's next?

I am currently leasing an i3. I got the all electric version because it is lighter, gets better efficiency, and was cheaper. The back doors are a pain in the butt. If you are in a parking lot with a car parked next to you you have to open the front door, stand next to the inside of the front...

    Higher insurance costs?

When I got my BMW i3 over 2 years ago the insurance was higher. The explanation was the insurance company saw it as a $45,000 car, a new model with new technology, built different, and an unknown cost with the battery pack. Without previous data they did not know how much it would cost to make...

Dealer Inspection at 5,000 or 7,500 miles

On page 312 of the owners manual is the "Tire Rotation and Required Services every 7,500 Miles". It says to rotate the tires, perform a visual inspection of certain components, and lubricate the door locks if you have used a de-icing agent on them. None of this seems to be dealer performed...

Rear Cargo Board is Dealer Optional

I installed this on my Bolt LT. There are 2 different versions available depending on the VIN of your car. Seems at some point in the Bolt production run they started adding one of the pieces standard the older car kit includes. Ask the parts department for a false floor kit. Took a few days for...

    Tire sealant and compressor kit

I have seen online where you can buy a space saver spare tire that claims it fits the Bolt. I know you can't use these on 4wd systems but would it work on the Bolt?
