    convertible?

As a three-time Miata owner (my third is about to be buried under a foot of Nor'Easter snow on Tuesday), I can't help looking at the EV platform under the Bolt and wondering what kind of convertible it might make. Heavy, yes. High, yes. But a low CG, and probably a shorter wheelbase if you make...

How many actual Bolt owners on this forum?

I think that's 22 owners or lessees so far. Not bad. A nice reality check for all of us wannabes pontificating from the sidelines.

For those of us hoping to cross-shop Bolt-Leaf-Tesla3

    >> Steve Jobs famously said that if you continue to wait for technology to improve, you will never buy anything! Well, there's a difference between always waiting for technology to improve, and waiting for technology to reach a point at which it becomes reasonably mature, highly usable, and...

For those of us hoping to cross-shop Bolt-Leaf-Tesla3

I'm OK with Jan 2018 availability. If you need 200+ miles RIGHT NOW, obviously you need to go out tomorrow morning and buy a Bolt or a used Tesla. If you don't, I think it kind of makes sense to watch and wait. It reminds me a whole lot of the integrated chip era in the 80s, where you'd buy a...

For those of us hoping to cross-shop Bolt-Leaf-Tesla3

Here is today's news on the new Leaf. Chevy made it easy for some of us to cross shop, just because of the delayed roll out across the USA. So if I have to wait till July for the Bolt to arrive in CT, I might as well wait two more months till September and see if I like the Leaf better (and as a...

How many actual Bolt owners on this forum?

That's 17 people so far, on the forum, who own or lease a Leaf. Cool! We've almost reached 1 of 100 owners out there.

How many actual Bolt owners on this forum?

Up to 11 actual owners out of about 2,200 Bolts sold to date. That's 1 in 200 owners so far.

How many actual Bolt owners on this forum?

We're up to 8 out of 2,000. That's one in 250 owners. Not bad, especially since there's another Bolt forum out on the web that probably claimed owners.

How many actual Bolt owners on this forum?

typo in my post earlier. 2,000 / 6 is not 33, but 333. So we have one of every 300 Bolt owners.

How many actual Bolt owners on this forum?

That makes 6 so far. Not bad really. The tally so far says we've captured 1 in 33 new Bolt owners in this forum (2000/6).

How many actual Bolt owners on this forum?

I don't see a way to do a poll, but it would be nice to know, out of 2,200 or so total Bolt sales to-date, how many actual owners are on this forum. It seem like maybe 20 or 30? If anybody cares to participate, it'd be interesting if you'd just post an answer that increments the count. Just...

    Feb sales (952)

Huge discounts on the last gen Leaf would make complete sense if they're clearing the lots for the new Leaf. I think most of us have given up on forecasting the Leaf II arrival date, but the mysterious tea leaves seem to be pointing to Geneva next week, with deliveries a month later. Take that...

    Feb sales (952)

I take that statement back then - not widely available on the West Coast. I guess lots aren't as populated as the online numbers would lead you to believe. Nothing like boots on the ground to verify the facts - thanks!

    Feb sales (952)

Bolt sales in Feb were 952 units, down from January (but Feb was a shorter month). The Bolt is readily available on lots all over the West Coast, and is now showing up on the East Coast (cars.com shows 1,500).

    Is Chevy investigating seat complaints?

This is for Chevy only, please. No need for other forum comments - we already have tons of seat threads. A few of us have sat in multiple Bolts at auto shows, dealers, etc, and have had inconsistent experiences. I've personally sat in one Bolt that had the best seat ever, and one that had the...

Do you think I'll be able to tow a small boat with the Bolt?

I noticed tonight there is a "Chevrolet Customer Care" agent who joined last week, and has posted a few messages on other threads. This towing thread is clearly an ideal place for an official statement by GM Customer Care. This agent -probably- has a line of communications to Bolt Engineering...

Do you think I'll be able to tow a small boat with the Bolt?

Guys, I'm puzzled. A few posts ago, there's a picture of an aftermarket hitch for the Bolt. In big bold letters are the words: WARNING! Do not exceed vehicle manufacturer's gross towing capacity", or something like that. Which on the Bolt, if I read the manual correctly, is essentially zero...

    Massachusetts / New England

If anyone is still interested, the Bolt has arrived at some MA dealerships. I spoke with a dealer in central CT who'd already sold one, and had another arriving shortly. Dealer was highly enthusiastic, salesman was an EV expert and an overall nice guy. He also told me, no problem selling out of...
