And if anyone is curious about the new 2018 Bolt features for the USA, here is the Chevy page link. It points out a few small improvements in the 2018: heated steering wheel and a sliding sun visor. If they improved the seats, they're not saying so on this page...
Hope I'm not duplicating info already posted, but also I just noticed Chevy has discounted the 2017 Bolt by $2,017 if you purchase before 15 January 2018. That's three days from now. That is at the bottom of the official Chevy Bolt page.
I assume Chevy will announce details at the press days at this coming week's Detroit Auto Show (press days start 13 Jan). But cars.com just started listing 2018 Bolts this morning. Not saying they're in a dealership yet, just saying they're listed on cars.com.
National inventory had dropped to...
I wish we could highlight our posts, because I would have highlighted this phrase in mine: "I didn't check fine print". I'm not saying there is a "gotcha", but I'm not saying there's not either. But these days all it takes is an email to the Internet sales manager on their website to find out...
You owe it to yourself to do a Web check with Paul Masse Chevy in RI, and with Quirk Chevy in Boston. They're both volume dealers that offer big discounts on buying and leasing, with little hassle.
Quirk is advertising a $145 a month lease on an LT with zero down. Of course a Premier will cost...

I was one of the Bolt doubters earlier this year, but it looks like GM has delivered on their promises and reasonable numbers of people are buying Bolt. They're now running about a 30,000 annual sales rate. And for...
I'm a secret anti-Bolt agent too. I get paid big bucks to come onto this forum and spew fake facts. In fact, I just bought a new Fla condo with my earnings. Those oil barons are really generous. I pride myself that I'm personally responsible for cutting Bolt sales in half so far this year.
>> So, I'm not sure what the OP is complaining about
That's a mis-characterization of my original posting. It was not a complaint. It was an open-ended question seeking comment.

Interesting article on moving shift controls. It raises the whole safety question.
OMG! It lives! The compliance car thread has risen from the dead to torment us all! Somebody grab a stake and hammer!
Can we all maybe agree the Bolt lives somewhere in a gray zone between the Fiat 500 EV (of which the Fiat CEO says, please don't buy this car because I lose $14,000 every time...
Last month I chatted with an EV specialist at an RI dealership with 100 Bolts on the lot at that time. Not in transit, on the lot. I walked and looked. This dealership was all-in with EVs. They were a volume dealership. They told me they could get all the allocation they wanted. They planned to...

I wish we could track Bolt sales by state. When you see national figures for the last month, you don't know how much of that is driven by that initial sales surge we've seen every time the Bolt enters a new market (pent up demand). For...
Thanks - that's really useful feedback. I have wondered a lot how Tesla's service infrastructure will grow to meet the Model 3 demand. And I live in one of the states (CT) that is waging war on Telsa, which doesn't make buying one any easier.
Good old USA. As long as car dealers keep stuffing...
On cars.com, you can buy a used Nissan Leaf with 35,000 miles for $6,000. You can then go to your Nissan dealer and swap in a new battery pack on your dollar for another $6,000. You have a 100+ mile BEV with a new 24KW battery for $12,000...
>> the Bolt may be so 10 minutes ago before the shiny is gone. However, for today, it's the best
That so much captures how I feel about the Bolt. I think a lot of others on the forum kind of feel the same way. If you don't need "right now", why not wait just a few more months to see what rolls...
