    Heater = 9kW

    Really? I live in California, and never use heat. Not even a little deal for me. I could see how it's important for Siberians, though.

    Tesla 3 in wild??

    Yes, it is pretty, isn't it? But it is a fantasy - Tesla is not capable of making it for under $50k, and won't get it to market before 2018 at the earliest. Oh well, it is a nice fantasy! I agree on Model S - cool, but too big. Like increasing numbers of people (not all, by any means) I...

    Tesla 3 in wild??

    The Beetle has cachet? Boy, cachet sure isn't what it used to be! :roll:

    Adaptive Cruise Control

    No, you are misunderstanding. What's happening is that Chevrolet packages the high-speed forward braking feature together with the ACC feature. ACC is not improving the effectiveness of forward braking, you just can't get forward braking (other than low-speed forward braking) on the Volt...

    Heater = 9kW

    Well, 8 watts (or even 34) is definitely less than 9,000 watts.

    CA Rebate Application Approved

    Yes, mine took very close to the estimated 'within 30 days' they estimate, but was approved without difficulty a couple of weeks ago. No sign of a check yet, but I expect it will arrive in the next ~90 days. Not a huge hassle, application is all online and requires scanning some documents. It...

    Adaptive Cruise Control

    I see no such conclusion in the IIHS report. ACC is just the name of the package they tested. It's the actual safety features such as forward collision alert an auto braking that they rated highly for safety. ACC is not found to improve their performance. Where are you seeing that?? Bolt...

    Adaptive Cruise Control

    I would say that ACC is a primarily convenience feature. If it qualifies as a safety feature at all, it's just barely. AFAIK, the only significant safety feature the Bolt is missing is adaptive headlights. I could also wish for a shorter braking distance. But overall, I think Bolt is pretty...

    myChevrolet app (Android) does not show vehicle diagnostic information

    Refresh the display by swiping down on the screen with a finger. App should say that it is 'updating'. Takes close to a minute, usually. Tap "Vehicle Status" box.

    Bolt Failed to come to complete stop in Low

    No, not always. Sometimes it will, and sometimes it won't. I have had the creep continue indefinitely, for a long distance, in exactly that situation. And other times, the car did apply the parking brake.

    HOV Stickers

    No, it's still free. The patrolman can confirm your temporary registration is in order and that you are aware of toll requirements. He does not collect tolls at gunpoint.

    Premier or LT

    I think the bigger problem with the LT here is that it has no rear cupholders. That should double your spills on the cloth seats!

    More juice for charging phone while using Android Auto

    Yes, I agree, the puny USB ports were a poor design choice by Chevrolet. My results with a Nexus 6P are better than yours - my charge increases slowly while using Android Auto. I also got a Y cable, and even plugging the phone into both front USB ports does not produce rapid charging, just...

    For those of us hoping to cross-shop Bolt-Leaf-Tesla3

    Eh, perhaps. You can of course cross shop whatever you like. But what Nissan officially says is that the Leaf will be "on sale before the end of the year." Which is suspiciously identical to what GM said, and delivered, for the Bolt, except the Bolt was delivered in 2016 rather than 2017...

    Exterior Temperature on Display?

    Wait a minute. I would swear that exterior temperature is displayed, I'm thinking upper right on the Home screen. Am I mistaken??? I can't check myself, as my Bolt has been in service for a week now. Day 7, and they can't even give me a diagnosis.

    Driving in 'L' mode

    Thanks for the info, Amber. Can regen torque produce the necessary 0.10g deceleration in "D" mode? At highway speeds, D can produce substantial regeneration. It would be helpful to confirm that the brake lights are never activated by regen in D. Also, how does the Bolt inform the driver that...

    Flat Tire after one week--Car has to be towed

    I don't know, is it? Is the tire damage small enough that a reinflation kit would work? If so, then why didn't the sealant inside the tires work as intended, and prevent deflation in the first place?

    NOT HAPPY with brake lamps in L mode.

    Well, for heaven's sake, do not train yourself not to use the brake pedal. That would be nuts! I don't recall whether you've driven electric cars much, but the term 'one-pedal driving' is certainly not meant to be taken literally. I use the brakes every day, and I'm sure all but the most...

    NOT HAPPY with brake lamps in L mode.

    No, remaining safely stopped for a red light does not always requires foot on brake. Don't take my word for it, ask Mercedes, Volvo, and the others. I did not present you with any straw man, so I haven't the vaguest idea what you're talking about there, nor on hand holding. However, you are...
