Why won't you let potential customers in the Bolt located at Epcot Test Track?

That trunk you see in the picture IS NOT the REAL floor of the trunk.. That is the bottom of the trunk, and there is a cheap Styrofoam false floor panel that is inserted to make the REAL floor over that... The trunk is then VERY small, like to hold 3 paper bags of supermarket groceries...

Are Electric Cars Really Green? PragerU PragerU

I know that many people in other countries, have been living at a subsistence economic level in the past. More and more of those people are working in factories and are able to amass $$$, and will be buying cars, and products, just like the advanced countries. Those countries are happy to...

Honda Fuel Cell Clarity....Can't even give me one!

Yes, I agree that there is no range "anxiety"... When you charge your car, and you do your daily driving, you KNOW you will not be stranded. If you have a new place to go, you would google the distance anyway, and you can make the decision to charge somewhere along the way if it makes you feel...

Honda Fuel Cell Clarity....Can't even give me one!

Yes, of course... you should not buy a 100 mile car if you need to drive 100 miles at a time... However, I think that most people think that EV range on a car is like just getting a bigger gas tank. They just think.. "I want a car that goes farther!"... The reality is that you are loading...

    Range Issues?

This is my first post on this very popular topic... I own a Nissan leaf and ALSO had concerns when I first got my car, which has much less range than the Bolt.. To the original poster, I would suggest making some un-technical diagnostics.... Take an hour of so to do some boring mileage...

Are Electric Cars Really Green? PragerU PragerU

I don't care about the air or environment... EVs, at this point in history, are not going the change the environment, just like not using plastic bags at the supermarket, or not eating meat. It's like eating lettuce at a Chinese Buffet restaurant to help save the world of obesity... There are...

Missing Fed Rebate in NY, NJ Quotes

My understanding is that the federal tax credit goes to the OWNER of the car, which is not the Leasing person. It is not a "TAX REBATE", but a reduction of federal taxes to the OWNER, Just like if you lease your solar panels on your house. I understand that the dealer can use the tax credit to...

Honda Fuel Cell Clarity....Can't even give me one!

You are very correct. You really don't want to have your car live or die by depending on ONE charging station. Hydrogen will never take off as a mainstream car fuel because there are too many problems. Also, I cant see the financial sense of driving an odd-ball car (as a rental) for so much...

A HOLDEN BOLT IS POSSIBLE – CHEVROLET CONFIRMS RIGHT-HAND DRIVE POTENTIAL

Well, the Nissan Leaf is sold all over the world... The Bolt SHOULD be sold worldwide to take advantage of an open market, which will also increase their (Chevy's) interest in making the car mainstream. I always hate it when car companies put out TOKEN products that they don't even want just...

    This car likes it HOT

Nice. For a powerful car like this, that is great. I have a Leaf, and have also found that a low speed A/C also does not take too much battery range away.. Personally, in having my car for 3 years, I think that the majority of the electricity use with heat or A/C happens when you first turn...

Two week review after 700 miles

I don't think that installing a better 240v line in the garage is that expensive. I bought the EVSE. I had it done recently, and it only cost me $800 by a licensed electrician. He installed a new garage 50 amp breaker in my house box, underground plastic sheathing for 12 feet under ground...

Two week review after 700 miles

************************* Sorry, but I don't care about your "particular" needs with a Nissan Leaf... This is a Chevy Bolt forum. And we are not even considering a QC charger because no one has a QC in their garage. Sorry, but the 240v charger IS the only way to go for the 200 mile range...

Two week review after 700 miles

Does Chevy give the Bolt a 120V 12 amp charger as OEM?? That charger will only charge your car at about the rate of 5 miles of range / PER HOUR. So to get 100 miles of range, you need to charge for 20 HOURS..... Level 2 30 amp, 240v charger is the ONLY WAY TO GO with the high capacity...

Educate me - the great range debate

In regard to the original article about battery size, I do not agree that a 200+ mile battery is that desirable. No one drives that much in one trip. Paying per KW for a battery you will be dragging around if you do not use its capacity is a waste of money at both ends... Once when you buy...
