    DC fast charger

Don't see what that has to do with a cost exercise, nowhere was it a case of "cost per mile" or even a comparison to ICE fuel costs, it was an exercise to show how expensive the use of DCFC is. Quantifying the use of DCFC vs the cost of the option was the point. If you're quantifying you're...

Tesla Model 3 - Specs released

Without knowing the exact size of the tesla batteries and making some assumptions (60-50kwh battery) the extended range option seems to work out to about $375-$450 per kwh. $9000 for what seems to be about a 24-20kwh upgrade? Ouch, not bitching so much as conjecturing ...... I bored and would...

    DC fast charger

If you're going through a cost exercise like this and assume a usage rate of $.25 then you should subtract your house usage rate of the top, you're not charging at home for free, the national average (America) is $.12

    Brake lights on with regen?

But not once you've come to a stop, you'd need to apply the brake then for the light to ..... illuminate.

    Not ready for prime time!

My understanding is people abuse the free usage super chargers quite a lot, I imagine this will change (any new purchase unless referral program then any new purchase after this year will not have free unlimited super charging) the teslas will age and be replaced over the next 5-10 years. More...

    Global warming ...

It's always more beneficial to re-use rather than replace. However people like shiny new things and they're going to keep getting them, the carbon defect of a new EV is made up for pretty quickly, typically within a 3 year lease. EVERYTHING after that is beneficial over and ICE, an ICE gets...

    Roof cargo rack

Not the most aerodynamic looking cargo roof thingy in the world but nicely done all the same, that looks like the pacific northwest!

Canada - When can we expect Bolts?

I test drove a red LT at the Langley dealer, was all decaled out and my understanding was it wouldn't be sold till the got more reliable stock or they allocation for the year was finished so it should still be there.

Found dried up circle of fluid (no color) on ground...

I didn't say it was acidic, I said it could be. You're assuming this a/c is just like any a/c on any other car, it's probably not and I don't assume to know exactly how the thing is set up, could there be some kind of heat exchanger involved with the battery TMS coolant? what's the chemical...

Depending on the A/C condensate water can be acidic and mark up/etch concrete. Also if the concrete is new moisture can draw out a powdery substance.

Charging Chervolet bolt with portable charger on 220v outlet

that's good to know, who the hell needs an extra $800 extension cord?

Charging Chervolet bolt with portable charger on 220v outlet

Maybe that varies from country to country and maybe even dealer to dealer, on the .ca build page it was an extra $ ticky box. that could have changed, the US version has the CCS as an extra where as the Canadian didn't so who knows what you'd get in europe. If importing to Europe and planning to...

Charging Chervolet bolt with portable charger on 220v outlet

Since the European type is grounded just not split and the north American is not always grounded the perhaps unintentional or not obvious point your making is that a European power supply would almost always have that residential ground instead of possibly have the charging device in north...

NOT HAPPY with brake lamps in L mode.

It doesn't seem like the OP is complaining that the car needs an automated brake feature, either he/she want's the brake lights lit up when the brakes are not applied (which is horse **** and dangerous) or incorrectly believes the brakes are being applied but not lit up, if that's a feature of...

Charging Chervolet bolt with portable charger on 220v outlet

It depends on weather the 3 phase is wye or delta, if you have 208 I got to assume it's delta, since a wye has symmetrical voltages. in high leg delta the voltage across 2 lines is 240 L-L, neutral to adjacent is 120 L-N and the high leg to neutral is 208 L-N. But high leg delta is always done...

Charging Chervolet bolt with portable charger on 220v outlet

North American single phase 240 power and European single phase 230 are really no different. Unfortunately power distribution is not uniform across Europe like it is in north America, so specifically plug types etc. and in some cases voltages and frequencies vary across boarders. There will...

Canadians - post your order details!

Unless of course you were set up with 3 phase power but I'm assuming any associated charging products would be cost prohibitive if even available.

Canadians - post your order details!

I guess one of the key points was that a 60 amp charger may require a larger then 60 amp circuit.

    Delivery--Not Charged

There are a ton of EVSE charge cables on the market for reasonable prices (under 500$ check the charging thread in the tech section of this forum) pick one that works for you as an affordable option, if you're not so inclined to DIY a 240 volt 30 amp or better plug having one professionally done...
