Canadians - post your order details!

That sounds about right for a loaded premier MSRP but ....... In BC there's $5,000 CEV government incentive off point of sale and a $6,250 "scrap it" incentive which have run out for the year. Most of the advertising I've seen is like 38,900 for an LT with an option or 2 but that's after...

Canadians - post your order details!

What was the sale price if you don't mind me asking? Or did you not get into the financing? Interested to know if they're inline at all with msrp, but I won't be buying till January or later.

Why can't I lease a bolt in Georgia for under $550 a month?

Just don't be surprised when you try to get a 2018 leaf in February and can't find a 3 year lease for less than 450$ a month while by then 2017 bolts are going for the sub $300 a month you're looking for.

    Oregon rebate

I'm an accredited doctor of prescience so take this seriously. I predict that within one day this is going to turn into an argument over fossil fuel subsidization and electrification incentives, and who's piece of the pie is bigger and more important than the other guys.

Why can't I lease a bolt in Georgia for under $550 a month?

There are tons of threads here on leases and how they're set up, without state or dealer incentives and a sales price somewhat inline with MSRP zero drive off 3 year lease LT runs like 400-450 taxes and fees in? So unless you're local prices are in low inventory gouge territory it sounds like...

    Transmission leak?

You could say that about any factory defective vehicle, gas or electric. I would think an electric mechanical component, while new and different. would be a vastly simpler repair then a comparable ICE or hybrid, lets also remember that this isn't the first electrically propelled car they've...

Problems, Bugs, Weird Stuff, Glitches, Concerns Here

Seems normal on any car made in the last decade, especially ones with a rear wiper. I think the idea is you can dump a full gallon in once and a while and it doesn't need to be right empty, probly about when the indicator comes on. Also remember the bolt has a high pressure spray nozzle for the...

Rear Cargo Board is Dealer Optional

If it's going to cost me 500$ to get one in my LT I'll be making it out of sketchiest piece of plywood I can find in m back yard.

    Transmission leak?

It sucks you can't get a more appropriate loaner but it seems like a pretty rare issue and they're taking care of it, eventually, as dealers do. You would assume there's a sensor of some sort the ECU monitors and a trouble light would have come on, maybe even a direct flashing window on the big...

Dealer never offered me 15k, only 10k

It's not clear weather you've taken ownership of the car yet, if you haven't you might have some recourse to back out of or renegotiate your deal, but being in Ontario I bet you have little if any leverage based on availability and demand they'll just sell it to the next guy. End of the day...

    Battery Depletion before Recharging

We don't know whether the battery has a buffer or not, look around, there's sources and testing done out there with conflicting information both ways, It seems like a no brainer to me to put in a 10% or so SOC buffer but it also seems like a solid corporate decision to make the battery have as...

    Battery Depletion before Recharging

All mauls may not be the same but the one I found is page 322 "Propulsion Battery Warranty Policy (Bolt EV) Like all batteries, the amount of energy that the high voltage “propulsion” battery can store will decrease with time and miles driven. Depending on use, the battery may degrade as little...

    Battery Depletion before Recharging

As it's been said and studied at length many times (other factors aside) the end user has little control over lithium chemistries degradation and can really only effect a few things. Lithium chem degradation is most significant at the top and bottom ends of there SOC to varying degrees, the only...

2017 Nissan Leaf Hits Back At Chevrolet Bolt

If the NEDC range ends up being way overstated then shame on them but until there is an EPA range then all we have it the manufacturer to tell us what's what. Given this statement: “The current e-Golf is 190 kilometers [118 miles] of range on paper and about 120 kilometers [75 miles] in the...

    DC fast charger

I don't own a Bolt yet or maybe I'll go with another car by the time they're available here (In Canada where they're standard equipment) so my opinion on the use and functionality of a DCFC and whether or not they're "essential" is invalid. It'll never "pay for it's self". Do I need it to use...

    DC fast charger

Semantics indeed, the flip side of that logic is that when you waist power you're simply paying a higher rate then you should have been, maybe your monthly bill stays the same but an appropriate sized PV system would have been cheaper so you're monthly bill should have been lower then it has...

    DC fast charger

In BC it's a credit per month then a payout annually of residual credit, and the rate is $.10 for exporting which is great considering were at $.08 low rate and .12 high rate, which you wold never reach if you were an oversized exporter, so grid storage makes all the sense here if you can have...
