    Bolt on Display in Delaware

I visited the Delaware Auto Show today in Wilmington Delaware. It runs through Sunday Oct 9. They have a grey LT on display. It has no power, but you can sit in it, try it on for size, pop the hood. It has to be a test production car, and it sure looks complete to me. Ithe is Friday, so...

Maryland CCS charging in time for the Bolt EV

There are already a number of CBS chargers in MD, many at Royal Farms. There are even some on the Eastern Shore.

GM not planning to fund CCS fast chargers

Here in the mid-Atlantic, we have a regional gas station / convenience store / fast food chain stores called Royal Farms. They are growing, but do not add fast chargers to every new store. Rather, looking at the distribution of chargers, and planned chargers, there is some logical thought going...

LT or Premier Trim Level - what would you choose?

I currently have the Leaf SL with the surround view and heated seats and steering wheel. I love these features, especially the cameras. To me the surrounding view and blind spot alert are required.. Thus a see a Premier in my future.

    Bolt production delayed... or not?

LG announced mid-august that they were starting full production of their major components. In a previous GM car, the Solstice, they started production in September, and delivered mine (#4723) in early November. So the "by end of year" timing works.

Bolt platform choice too small - agree or not?

I visited a dealership recently, and just chatting with the salesperson, he was surprised I wanted a smaller vehicle, especially with the masses of SUV's and Pick-ups around here. But, as a report said recently, Americans tend to buy cars for the most extreme situation (the occasional long...

    Bolt Range

Drafting a truck is an old trick my father taught me on long freeway drives in California. I use it today here in Delaware if I am worried about conserving range, or we have a strong NE headwind (common in winter). Sometimes side drafting works too. Just make sure you follow at a distance he...

    Bolt Range

EastOcean, 210 My guess is based on the EPA range of 84 miles on a 24-Kw Leaf battery, just scaled up.. BTW, my Leaf will sometimes show a range of 102 fully charged, which goes down rapidly when driving. THe Guess-O-Meter has some algorithm that uses long-term averages, and seemingly most...

    Chevy Bolt Pre-orders? Has anyone?

As a possible example.. Some years ago, I pre-ordered a new GM car, a low-volume Solstice, about a month before production started (early September) . The car was delivered Nov. 10.

Interested in the Bolt EV? What do you currently drive?

I drive a 2013 Leaf SL. My lease expires in October. They have offered a 6 month extension. I never have more than 1 passenger. I also gave a tight garage, so a few less exterior inches is welcome. The cargo space inside is probably better than the future Leaf 2, but who knows. Nissan is...
