Thanks. Yes, the insurance settlement was quite fair (AAA is great when you have to file a claim). So I was able to take advantage of the Hertz big selloff of their electric vehicle fleet and got a black on black 2023 Bolt EUV LT with only about 11,000 miles on it for just a couple grand more...

Today I went to retrieve my belongings out of my 2017 Bolt and sign it over to my insurance company because a couple of days ago a friend borrowed it and had an accident. Fortunately no other cars were involved and no one was badly injured, but my poor little car is a total loss. 😫

Well I am very sad to report that my 2017 Bolt is no longer (almost) flawless. A friend (who has driven my car many times) borrowed it on Sunday to run an errand. Apparently he fell asleep at the wheel, crossed to the other side of the street, humped the curb, took outva couple of traffic signs...
